The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January–June 2026, investments in fixed assets amounted to 16.4 billion lei, increasing by 5.2% (at comparable prices) compared with January–June 2025, due to an increase in investments in tangible fixed assets (7.4%), particularly investments in:

• residential buildings – by 3.3%;
• non-residential buildings – by 37.5%;
• civil engineering works – by 1.2%;
• machinery and equipment – by 0.5%;
• transport equipment – by 1.0%; and
• other tangible fixed assets – by 16.9%.

Meanwhile, intangible fixed assets, which account for approximately 4.4% of the structure of investments in fixed assets, decreased by roughly 27.2%.

The largest shares in the structure of the investments under review belong to machinery and equipment (31.9%), non-residential buildings (16.1%), residential buildings (15.1%), followed by transport equipment (11.9%) and civil engineering works (11.4%).
